Learning data on your device
Haru uses localStorage under haru-progress-v1 for an optional nickname, completed lessons, saved expressions, XP, daily activity, quiz scores, game completions, stamps, and preferences. No real name, date of birth, school, precise location, or email is required for learning. These records are not sent to a Haru account or synchronized between devices.
Control and deletion
Change your optional nickname and preferences in the app. Clear this site’s browser data to erase its learning record. Clearing data cannot be undone by Haru. Private browsing and storage restrictions may prevent progress from being retained.
Hosting and requests
Haru is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and toon-cart.com uses Cloudflare DNS and proxy services. To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare may process traffic metadata such as IP addresses, request information, and system or browser configuration details. Cloudflare describes its handling and retention criteria in its Privacy Policy; retention depends on the service and purpose. Haru does not run a separate visitor analytics product or write application-level access logs in this build.
Speech and sound
Pronunciation uses browser speech synthesis when you press Listen. Availability and processing depend on your operating system, browser, and voice; some voices may use a platform service. Haru does not record your microphone. Game sounds are synthesized locally and are off until enabled.
Advertising and cookies
Advertising is disabled. This build does not load Google advertising or a consent-management script. If enabled, Google and participating providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and related information for delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Haru requests non-personalized ads. This does not make advertising cookie-free or exempt from consent obligations.
Where required, advertising waits for a configured Google-certified consent management platform. You can change choices through that platform’s privacy controls. A homemade banner is not a substitute. See how Google uses data from partner sites and Google ad settings.
Teen learners
Our intended audience is high-school learners. Haru does not create advertising profiles, collect age information, sell learner profiles, offer public messaging, or publish learner rankings. Learners and parents or guardians may contact the operator with concerns.
